One of the reasons I started this blog was to show people that you can do/achieve anything, no matter your income or social standing. My “DONE” series features Bucket List items I’ve done/achieved. They may vary in size and importance but the message I always want readers to leave with is that they too can achieve their dreams.
Going into the race, I thought…
See nothing fancy.
Morning of the race
The real surprise was when my mom stopped by our place before the run to give me flowers. She wanted to come and watch but couldn’t because of work. Isn’t that nice of her?
Once we got to the starting line, I was hyped and super duper nervous. My running buddy, Mo, said she was going to pick someone to keep up with throughout the race.
Guess what? She ended up being my person I tried keeping up with. She was great! She kept me going.
This was my view most of the race.
We decided that next time, we’ll bring the kids and be a cool running mom that everyone looks at and thinks, “How does she do it?” We saw some of them today. Amazing, ladies! Amazing.
Enough of that, on to the run
I have a blue mustache. Yuck! Also, the dye isn’t as easy to wash off as they say. If you are going to do a color run, be ready to scrub a layer of skin off of yourself.
